Booking & Refund Policy

All payment for Smooth Ride’s products must be made in the full amount upon booking. Upon successful processing of customer's payment, customer(s) will receive a confirmation email to the email address provided with a unique order number. We advise you keep this email for your reference.

All of our tours run in rain or shine. Waterproof ponchos are available on request. Smooth Ride offers 100% refund if the customer cancellation is made at least 72 hours (3 days) prior to tour meeting time. Smooth Ride will not refund customer(s) cancellations made less than 72 hours (3 days) prior to tour meeting time. In the unlikely event a customer is not able to complete a ride due to a bicycle mechanical fault Smooth Ride will offer a full refund.

Smooth Ride reserves the right to cancel tours due to circumstances outside of Smooth Ride's control (weather, unrest, major road blocks etc). In such an event customer(s) will be contacted a minimum of 3 hours prior to ride commencement. Under these circumstances the customer (s) will then be offered a space(s) on other rides if this is not acceptable a full refund will be issued.


Minimum ride participants for scheduled rides

The following does not affect private rides. Smooth Ride requires a minimum of 2 participants to operate a scheduled ride. In an effort to provide an equal opportunity to all group sizes Smooth Ride accepts bookings for a minimum of 1 participant. If a single participant books onto a ride which at time of booking has no other participants, his/her payment will be received but his/her order will be pending. The booking will either be confirmed if other participants sign up for the ride or if the ride does not meet the minimum of 2 participants 4 days before the scheduled tour, a full refund will be issued. Should the single participant wish to cancel the order after booking no refund will be issued.


Departure location & time
Customers are required to be at the departure location on time as all tours leave promptly. Any customer(s) who fails to arrive at the departure location on time may miss the tour. In this instance refunds will not be issued.


Accident & Loss
Please take care of all personal property. Smooth Ride will not be liable for any theft, loss, damage, delay, inconvenience, direct or consequential loss, however caused, unless due to cross negligence on behalf of Smooth ride.


Personal Safety & conduct
Each customer is responsible for their own safety at all times. Helmets are available for participants to request when booking, free of charge. Smooth Ride will not be held liable for any injury/damage/loss caused to or by a customer unless as a result of gross negligence on Smooth Ride’s part.

By agreeing to take part on the tour, the customer(s) agrees to follow safety instructions given by the guide & exercise care whilst cycling. If a customer’s cycling ability and/or behavior is judged to be unsafe the guide may ask the customer(s) to stop participating in the activity.

Smooth Ride may, at its discretion, require any person to be excluded from a tour if Smooth Ride deems his or her conduct to be offensive, nuisance &/or unsafe to any parties.
